Daniel W Bursch

Daniel Bursch is a former NASA astronaut and co‑creator of Let’s Go Adventure Books. Over the course of his career, he flew on multiple space missions and spent about six and a half months living and working on the International Space Station, conducting experiments and looking down at Earth from orbit.

Now, Dan brings that real‑life space experience to children’s picture books that mix adventure with a sense of responsibility for our planet. In the Let’s Go Adventure series, he helps turn big ideas—like space junk, ocean plastics, and caring for our shared home—into stories where helpers step up, problems get solved together, and kids feel safe asking questions.

When he’s not collaborating on new stories, Dan enjoys sharing space tales with kids, spending time near the water, and exploring the world a little closer to home. He writes alongside his wife, author and artist Sharon Yencharis, combining authentic astronaut insight with lyrical storytelling and imaginative, read‑again illustrations.
