Lara Bezerra is a global leadership expert, former CEO of Bayer and Roche, and the world’s first Chief Purpose Officer while simultaneously serving as CEO.

After more than 30 years leading organizations across seven countries, Lara began questioning one of the greatest paradoxes of modern leadership: why do highly successful organizations and leaders still experience so much fragmentation, burnout, disconnection, and loss of meaning?

This question emerged from her own experience leading organizations through purpose-driven cultures focused on human development, meaning, and sustainable results. It led her to develop the WorkCoherence® model and dedicate her work to helping leaders and organizations create systemic prosperity by aligning purpose, human flourishing, organizational coherence, and long-term sustainable results.

Her work integrates systems thinking, neuroscience, contemplative practices, organizational culture, and coherent leadership to support leaders in navigating complexity with greater clarity, consciousness, and cognitive maturity while building organizations that contribute positively to society.

Today, Lara mentors CEOs, founders, boards, and leadership teams around the world, helping organizations create cultures where people can thrive while delivering exceptional and sustainable results.
