Jayson Paterson

Jayson Paterson is an experienced educator and author specialising in visual arts education. He is Head of Visual & Performing Arts at St Paul’s Grammar School in Sydney, where he has led arts education for over two decades. With extensive experience in curriculum design, assessment, and studio practice, Jayson has worked closely with the International Baccalaureate as a curriculum consultant, examiner, and long-standing my.IB community moderator for the IB Diploma Programme in Visual Arts.

Jayson is co-author of Oxford University Press resources for the IB Diploma Programme Visual Arts course, supporting students and teachers worldwide in navigating contemporary arts education. His professional practice spans drawing, photography, and printmaking, alongside a strong commitment to fostering creativity and critical thinking in young artists.
