J. A. Cole

J. A. Cole spent two decades in film post-production as a visual effects producer and editor, where his job was to make sense of large amounts of complex data under real pressure. He built systems to manage it. The habit outlasted the career.

He was diagnosed with autism and ADHD at 45, which explained a great deal about why he builds systems rather than tolerating the absence of them.

He lives in Melbourne, Australia, and runs Solo Systems Foundry on his own: practical tools and guides built specifically for one-person businesses. Every product comes from a real problem, a real workflow, and a genuine frustration with the way things were being done before the system existed.

The Illusion of Intelligence is his first book.
