Jen Loren

Jen Loren (Cherokee Nation) is an Emmy Award-winning TV host, filmmaker and media executive. Ruth Muskrat and the So-Called Indian Problem is her debut book as an author.

As the founding leader and senior director of Cherokee Film, Jen sets strategy and oversees the operations for Cherokee Film Productions, Cherokee Film Studios, Cherokee Film Commission and the Cherokee Film Institute. Under her leadership, Cherokee Film became the first tribal film and media ecosystem with a mission to increase the presence of Native Americans in the industry.

Selected as an inaugural Obama Leader USA by the Obama Foundation in July of 2023, Loren is globally recognized for her work, breaking new ground for Native American representation in film and media.
