Rosy Dabas

Rosy Dabas is an Indian-born, Boston-based debut author-illustrator, PhD scientist, and a very proud mom of Pluto - a Cavapoo whose quiet, wordless instinct for showing up exactly when someone needs him most inspired every book in this series.

Their bond is difficult to explain. When Rosy is low, Pluto appears without being asked - head on her lap, body pressed against hers. She genuinely believes their souls are connected. And it is that connection that sits at the heart of every Pluto’s Adventures story.

A lifelong artist who grew up drawing and painting, Rosy drew every illustration in this series entierly by hand - becasue a quite inner voice told her that was the only way it would feel real.

The Pluto’s Adventures series gently teaches young children that sometimes the kindest thing you can do is simply stay close. Each book explores a new emotional theme through Pluto’s eyes, and includes original hand-drawn sketch pages so little ones can color Pluto’s world in their own way - a quiet, creative activity for children and grown-ups to share together.
