Elisa Prosperetti

Elisa Prosperetti is a historian of African and global history.

Her book, An Anticolonial Development, examines how schooling and freedom became intertwined in twentieth-century West Africa. Her research explores the intersections of race, political economy, and intellectual history in the Black Atlantic world.

She is an assistant professor at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She received her PhD from Princeton University.
