Rob Picco

Rob Picco is a Massachusetts author, entrepreneur, and founder of RP Press Publishing LLC, an independent publishing company built around one guiding belief: Every Story Leaves a Legacy.

Picco writes grounded, cinematic stories across multiple genres, with a growing catalog that includes military thrillers, crime fiction, historical suspense, children’s adventures, and an upcoming personal memoir.

His Ghost Squad military-thriller series began with Border of Dust and Fury and continued with Behind Enemy Minds. The series follows Eli Vance and a battle-tested team confronting enemies whose reach extends far beyond the battlefield. The next installment, Shadow of the Crows, is currently in development, with additional novels planned to expand the Ghost Squad world. A portion of the profits from Picco’s military thrillers is donated to Fisher House Boston, supporting military families while their loved ones receive medical care.

Picco launched a second major series with Locker 614, introducing veteran Boston detective Jack Callahan and a decades-old murder that powerful people believed had been permanently buried. The series combines Boston history, cold cases, corruption, and the lasting consequences of secrets left unresolved. RP Press is currently exploring partnerships with organizations serving crime victims, survivors, and their families, with the goal of donating a portion of proceeds from the crime series to a cause directly connected to the stories’ themes.

His expanding catalog also includes Nineteen ’54, a historical serial-killer thriller set in rural Kentucky, and She Was Leaving, a modern Las Vegas crime novel centered on a young woman searching for a new beginning. Additional projects include a Providence-based crime series, future Jack Callahan investigations, and Every Story Leaves a Legacy, Picco’s deeply personal memoir about family, hardship, rebuilding, and refusing to quit.

RP Press will also enter children’s publishing with The Adventures of Sadie and Vegas, an illustrated series inspired by Picco’s two golden retrievers. The first book, The Supermarket Adventure, follows the lovable pair as an ordinary backyard escape becomes an unforgettable journey. The series is designed to encourage curiosity, laughter, imagination, and a lifelong love of reading.

Beyond writing, Picco is committed to building RP Press into a community-minded independent publisher. Through local markets, author events, veteran outreach, charitable partnerships, and opportunities for new writers, he hopes to prove that independent publishing can do more than sell books—it can connect people, support worthy causes, and leave something meaningful behind.

Rob lives in Massachusetts, where he continues writing, building RP Press Publishing, spending time with his friends and family, and occasionally attempting to keep Sadie and Vegas out of trouble.
