Julie Bonner Williams

Julie Bonner Williams’ writing career spans over three decades, with her juvenilia published in Seventeen magazine. She is an essayist and features writer for Michigan BLUE and HOUR Detroit magazines, and her work has been seen in Grand Rapids magazine, The Grand Rapids Press, The Dunes Review, and the UK anthology, Poetry Celebrating the Life of Queen Elizabeth II.

Her first book, Haunted Houses of Grand Rapids, was published by Arcadia Publishing/The History Press, August 2026.

A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bonner Williams lives on a 125-year-old farm near Lake Michigan with her husband, three dogs, five rescued cats, too many chickens, and two horses. Her interests include antique-ing, reading, historical research, gardening, and amassing outlandish quantities of legal pads and Bic Cristal blue pens.
