Richard Latham

Richard Latham is a British-New Zealand author and poet, born in Shrewsbury, England, and now living in New Zealand, where he shares his life with his partner and a menagerie of animals on a rural lifestyle block.

At 42, Richard came to writing not through formal training but through necessity - the need to make sense of experiences that had no other outlet. Release, his debut poetry collection, is the result of that process. Raw, honest, and unsparing, it reflects a journey through loss, depression, and the quiet courage it takes to begin again.

He is currently working on his first novel.
