Seema Patel spent decades perfecting the art of compliance: learning to read rooms, adapt quickly, and become whoever she needed to be to belong. With more than 30 years in healthcare leadership and organizational development, she now helps others break that pattern and lead with authenticity instead of approval-seeking. Her work is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: belonging isn’t soft work. It’s high-impact leadership.
Known as an “Executive Whisperer,” Seema helps leaders see perspectives they may have missed beyond the ivory tower. Her expertise sits at the intersection of clinical practice, organizational development, and culture transformation. She has built a career breaking down silos, strengthening collaboration, and creating environments where people no longer feel the need to perform to belong. Her background spans program management, process improvement, adult learning, and change management, all grounded in her ability to help people show up fully and lead with intention.
A two-time graduate of The Ohio State University, Seema holds an MBA in Health Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Professions (Respiratory Therapy). Her commitment to continuous learning is reflected in certifications from Cornell University (DEI Practitioner), Prosci (Change Management), McKinsey Academy, and Working Genius Coaching. She maintains active credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, bridging clinical excellence with organizational leadership. Seema has served on the Board of the Central Ohio Association of Talent Development and is an active member of the International Coaching Federation, National Speakers Association (NSA Ohio), the Human Resource Association of Central Ohio, and the Central Ohio Belonging Consortium.
As a contributing author to Brave Spaces, Bold Conversations, Seema shares her personal journey from “good daughter” to authentic leader. Her chapter, When Comfort Costs Everything, explores the tension between connection and belonging in both her personal and professional space, and what becomes possible when we stop editing ourselves for acceptance. Her message is both personal and practical: choosing yourself doesn’t mean failure. Often, it means coming home.
Grounded in lived experience, Seema understands the quiet weight of imposter syndrome, the discomfort of being praised while feeling unseen, and the courage it takes to lead without armor. Her work, and her life, are about building bridges between people, ideas, and the confidence to show up authentically. She believes that kindness and authenticity are not competing values. They are the same choice.
Outside of her professional work, Seema is a proud Ohio State alumna who lives in Ohio with her partner and is the proud mother of two grown sons. When she isn’t mentoring leaders or guiding organizational change, she can often be found cheering on the Buckeyes or simply being present with the people who matter most.
