Stephen Karol Schmidt

Stephen Karol Schmidt is a Danish author, lawyer, and former member of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget). He studied sociology at Brandeis University as a recipient of a Wien International Scholarship and practiced law for more than two decades in Copenhagen.

In the 1990s, he was licensed by the New York Supreme Court as a Foreign Legal Consultant and worked with a law firm in Brooklyn, New York. He has traveled extensively across the United States and has long engaged in comparative analysis of American and Danish institutions.

As a member of parliament, he participated in Denmark’s delegation to the United Nations General Assembly. His work focuses on law, democracy, and institutional development.
