Hello! I am Arruda Van der Ley, and my story begins under the vibrant sun of northeastern Brazil. I was born in 1990, and although I am a writer at heart, life led me to graduate as a social educator.
My everyday life moves between two worlds: socio-pedagogical action, where I firmly believe in the power of empathy and education to transform realities, and literature, where I seek to heal through words. I’m a free-spirited soul passionate about lifelong learning; to me, every journey and every person is a fascinating book waiting to be discovered.
I find my greatest inspiration in nature, human connections, and Buddhist philosophy. The practice of compassion, the value of silence, and mindfulness are at the heart of everything I write. In a world that pushes us to rush and forget what is essential, my stories—like Gael—are a humble invitation to pause, breathe, and listen to your inner harmony.
When I am not immersed in creating new literary universes or engaging in my social work, you are most likely to find me by the sea, enjoying the stillness of the present.
I hope that, as you read my pages, you too will find a refuge to rest and reflect on your own path.
Thank you for letting me share this journey with you!
