Asif Patel

Asif Patel is a Clinical Lead in Stroke and Neurosciences at one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK, with over 20 years of experience in stroke rehabilitation.

He is an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur and an NIHR Fellow, with advanced postgraduate qualifications in neurological rehabilitation, clinical research, and education. His work focuses on improving recovery outcomes through innovation, patient engagement, and accessible, evidence-based care.

Asif is the founder of StrokeWize — a platform designed to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and real-world recovery. Through practical tools, education, and digital innovation, StrokeWize supports stroke survivors, families, and clinicians across the recovery journey.

His approach combines evidence-based rehabilitation with behavioural science, mindfulness, and patient-centred design — helping individuals engage with recovery in a way that is clear, structured, and sustainable.

His work includes a growing range of resources designed to support recovery, prevention, and long-term wellbeing, with a focus on making high-quality stroke care more accessible to all.
