Julian Patrick

Julian Patrick lives in Cornwall, where the rooftops, harbours, and gulls of the south-west coast inspired The Art of Stealing Chips in the Mizzle. Fascinated by the strange intelligence, boldness, and chaos of urban gull life, he spent years imagining what might happen if the birds watching tourists from the rooftops had their own gangs, myths, rivalries, and fears.

When not writing Julian most enjoys sleeping in the sun and playing piano.

The Art of Stealing Chips in the Mizzle is his first novella.
