ABOUT JAN KEYES:

Chicago-born, Jan now lives in bucolic Warren County, NJ. She enjoys writing, gardening, practicing herbalism, and tending to the surrounding wildlife and birds, along with two friendly cats and any feral who may take shelter in the garage.

She spent her corporate career in technical support as a corporate instructor and in sales, where she met her loving husband Joe, with whom she has been married for nearly forty years.

Together, over the course of a decade, they began and grew Crossroads, their retail business of Native American Arts and Crafts. They now support each other in their creative pursuits and delight in hosting family visits.

Her published essays include: “The Feral Cat and the Once Feral Girl”, Old Women Who Write, 2023; “The Invasion,” a mini-memoir in the award-winning anthology Corona City, Voices from an Epicenter, 2020; “Being from Somewhere,” Recovering the Self, 2018. Nobody’s Daughter is Jan’s first full-length memoir.
