From his teens, Nick Stevens made a hobby of fatherhood and family. For over eighteen years, Nick has led men’s ministries, spoken at conferences, and been interviewed by podcasts about fatherhood. He loves guiding fathers and grandfathers on how to build spiritual and emotional matu-rity into the lives of their children and families.
Nick earned a master’s degree in education from Texas A&M University and an associate in theology degree from Christian Life School of Theology. For over forty years, he has held management and executive positions in information technology and taught at secondary and colle-giate levels.
The loss of a daughter, Lygon Stevens, to an avalanche in 2008 set Nick on this path to be a father to fathers and share his knowledge and experiences with other men. Lygon’s journals revealed a relationship with Father God that has stunned pastors and people with great faith. He and his wife published a collection of those inspirational messages in the book, Cairns for the Climb: From the Journals of Lygon Stevens. A full-length feature film was also made about her faith and the family’s loss. He has four children, seven grandchildren, and lives in Colorado, where he has climbed over twenty fourteen-thousand-foot mountains (14ers).
