Teresa Ribeiro

Teresa Ribeiro is a Portuguese screenwriter turned novelist. Born in Portugal, she moved to London to study Film at Kingston University and stayed for over a decade—working in production before turning fully to fiction. Lisbon and London both live in how she writes.

Her fiction is cinematic and fast-cut, unafraid of a cold open or a hard ending. It sits at the crossroads of rage and tenderness, and explores feminine power, desire, grief, and survival—fables, dark fantasy, and romantasy with lyrical prose and sharp teeth.

The Serpent's Dance is her debut — a short, dark fable about rebirth and reclamation. Her novel Of Wards and Wi-Fi opens the Ruined Realms, an urban fantasy series of witches, vampires, and Cosmic Magic set in Lisbon.
