Liz Holtzinger

Liz Holtzinger is a writer, professor, and strategist who studies how people make decisions, navigate change, and learn to lead themselves in moments that don’t come with clear instructions.

With over two decades of experience teaching writing and rhetoric, her work sits at the intersection of language, leadership, and lived experience. She has spent her career helping others find clarity in complex situations—whether in the classroom, in business, or in the moments where personal decisions take shape.

Her writing focuses on helping readers recognize their own authority and think more clearly for themselves—often by questioning expectations, habits, and roles that no longer fit. Rather than offering formulas or fixed answers, she invites readers to examine their thinking and choose what fits—and what to let go.

Lead Yourself First is her first published book.
