Nancy A Stevenson

Nancy Stevenson completed her BA degree from Smith College, and later, a Masters in American History from American University, when she, her husband, and children lived in Washington, DC. Nancy and the kids told stories on rainy or cold nights on their farm in Jo Daviess County, Illinois, and on long car trips.

She didn’t start writing fiction until her 50s. After the birth of her first grandchildren in distant Montana, she wanted to write stories for them, so she studied for an MFA in Writing for Children at Vermont College, now Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Subsequently, Nancy self-published two children’s novels, Horse Dreams and Capitol Code. Next, The Wild Rose Press published her environmental mystery novel set in British Columbia, Canada. Now, Nancy is self-publishing another adult novel, New Beginnings B&B and Driftless Dreams, both based in the Driftless Area near Galena, Illinois.
