Dr. Madhava Bharathi, also known as Dr. Bharathi Madhavan, is an accomplished Indian educationalist, researcher, and author with over five decades of dedicated service to the field of education. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from Alagappa University, with doctoral research focused on Computer Assisted Learning in Higher Secondary Schools. His multidisciplinary academic foundation is further strengthened by multiple Master's degrees in Economics, Commerce, Education, and Computer Science.
Dr. Bharathi began his career in the Education Department in 1973 and served with distinction until his retirement in 2011. He is the Founder, Secretary, and Director of Amrita College of Education, Amritalaya College of Education, and several other educational institutions in Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu - institutions established with a vision of promoting value-based and technology-enabled education.
A prolific author, Dr. Bharathi has made significant contributions to educational literature and digital literacy in Tamil Nadu. He is the author of the Tamil Computer Dictionary, a landmark work that developed technical vocabulary and promoted digital literacy in the Tamil language. His book Artificial Intelligence Tools for Teachers, along with its Tamil edition, offers practical, accessible guidance on integrating AI into teaching and learning - empowering educators at every level to embrace digital transformation in the classroom.
