Growing up, I devoured books - they were the first thing packed to go on a family cross country RV tour (46 states!). Not long after, I picked up a camera for the first time and fell in love with image making, going on to earn a BFA and MFA in photography and working in the commercial photography industry as a photographer and art director in Lima, Peru along side my husband, garnering a wide range of clients and projects. Also an experienced digital restoration artist, I have repaired and reproduced works on paper, canvas, photographs, rare books and journals, and completed projects for national insurance companies, museums, private collections, universities, and large corporations.
After moving back Stateside, I missed the creative outlet of the photo studio and decided to learn to draw. I discovered children’s book illustration and found the perfect way to integrate my love of stories and image making and haven’t looked back since!
