Jackson G Payne

Jackson Payne grew up in the quiet town of Woodford, Queensland, and now lives in Far North Queensland with his wife, young son, and their loyal Maremma shepherd, Grace, who inspired one of his characters.

A trained classical guitarist, Jackson developed a deep interest in history, particularly where music, art, and power intersect. His studies led him to explore the cultural tensions of fascist-era Germany, sparking a fascination with the darker threads of human history.

During the stillness of the Covid years, he began turning ideas into stories, studying storytelling techniques and layering meaning into his work. Now a music teacher, he writes in his spare time, crafting stories that explore survival, resilience, and the shadows within both nature and humanity.
