SANDRA HICKS BUCHANAN

Sandra Hicks Buchanan is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and a passionate advocate for troubled teens and youth empowerment. As the Program Coordinator for the Prison Awareness Program, she is committed to helping young people make positive life choices and avoid destructive paths.

A former probation officer, Sandra has dedicated years to working with at-risk youth and families, believing strongly in rehabilitation, mentorship, and second chances. Through community outreach, guidance, and real-life education, she strives to inspire young people to recognize their value, build confidence, and pursue brighter futures.

Sandra is also a proud mother of three daughters and grandmother of five grandchildren, whose love for family fuels her passion for impacting the next generation. Her mission is rooted in compassion, accountability, and the belief that with the right support and direction, every young person has the ability to overcome challenges and succeed in life.
