Emily Schwindler

Emily Schwindler is a death educator, Certified Thanatologist, wife, and mother of two.

Her background growing up in a small Indiana town, earning a bachelor’s in English with a literature concentration and master’s certificate in Thanatology give her a unique window into the world.

Emily began working at a funeral home in 2007 and has spent most of her career in deathcare. Over the decades, she has continued expanding her knowledge of burial and cremation, death practices of different religions and cultures, and all things mortuary and grief related. As a result, she is a highly regarded subject matter expert and public speaker.

Emily’s faith and empathy make her a natural fit for a job most admit they couldn’t do. Her individual approach and genuine kindness are exemplified in the loving care she shows the dead and patient guidance she shows the living.
