S.M. Cole

S. M. Cole writes speculative fiction centered on memory, power, and the fragile systems people build to protect truth or bury it. Before turning to long-form fiction, he worked as a contract writer and editor, where clarity and precision became central to his style.

A U.S. Army Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, he served in Afghanistan in 2003, and that experience continues to shape the moral tensions and structural design of his work. He is currently at work on the next installment of Threads of Ash and Wire - A Fracture Line Saga, among other stories told within the same fictional world.
