Matthew is a missionary, ministry leader, and lifelong advocate for short-term missions who has spent over two decades discipling believers. His experience spans years of service in the Dominican Republic as a missionary, as well as in the United States equipping missionaries, churches, and organizations to transform short-term mission trips into lasting kingdom impact.
Having served on every side of the mission trip experience—as a participant, a team leader, and a hosting missionary—Matthew brings a perspective few in the space can offer. His passion is helping the church see short-term missions not as an isolated event but as one of the most effective discipleship tools available, a gift worth stewarding well.
Matthew lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and three kids, where he leads Adventure Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to improving the effectiveness of short-term missions. When he's not training and discipling the next generation of mission trip members and facilitators, you'll find him and his family adventuring in the nearby mountains.
