New author Audrey K. Bowes began writing fiction because fiction told the truth she couldn't find the words for from the pulpit. After decades of adhering to her belief system, she finally had to admit that the faith she had been promoting to others no longer aligned with the one she lived. Leaving the ministry and embarking on her journey of self-discovery and spiritual truth wasn't a crisis of faith; it was a crisis of certainty within her faith system. In the chasm that was left, she discovered that she finally had room to breathe.
