Terry Allen Helm is a certified genealogist and historian, awarded a BA in History from the University of Texas, a writer, and a family historian dedicated to preserving the stories that shaped his heritage. Born into a lineage of pioneers, military men. Statesmen, farmers, craftsmen, river workers, and resilient pioneers, Mr. Helm has spent years researching the lives and journeys of his ancestors, with a special focus in his first book, "FLATBOAT MEN: A True American River Journey" on his grandfather’s 1900 flatboat expedition. His work blends meticulous historical detail with a deep respect for the human spirit, bringing forgotten eras of American life back into vivid focus. His second book, "NOT SUNSHINE PATRIOTS: True Courage in the American Revolution" is a historical narrative honoring the 18th-century everyday American Patriots who won our Freedom and Independence from the greatest empire at that time. “His book Not Sunshine Patriots was formally acknowledged by the White House through official presidential correspondence.” His third book is Data Governance Warriors: Protectors of the Enterprise Data Realm. He was born in Dallas, Texas, residing there for 19 years, lived 2 years in Little Rock, AR, 8 years in Austin, Texas, 37 years in St. Louis, Missouri, and internationally 4 years in Mexico City. He is currently a resident of Orlando, Florida. He has had a lifetime professional career in Information Technology Management in Senior positions with Southwestern Bell/AT&T, Spectrum, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, and Deloitte Consulting. He has earned two master’s degrees from Washington University St. Louis, in Information Management and Telecommunications Management. Additionally, he was a teacher at Bayless Schools in St. Louis and a Guest Lecturer at Washington University, St. Louis Graduate School for Information Management.
