Robert Rosenfeld

Dr Robert Rosenfeld has spent four decades at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and human development. He holds a PhD from the University of Warwick, an MBA from Concordia University, and a BA in Economics from McGill University.

He founded two consulting and leadership development businesses: Garner Hall & Company, and subsequently the Centre for Organizational Excellence, through which he worked with senior leaders and executive MBA students in over thirty countries — from Kazakhstan to Kuwait, from Japan to Jordan — helping organizations navigate strategic change, build leadership capability, and develop cultures that perform. He has been an associate faculty member at Bayes Business School (London), Warwick Business School, Strathclyde Business School (Glasgow), ENPC Business School (Paris), Abu Dhabi University, Ecole Hassania Des Travaux Publics (Morocco), Tong Ji University (China), Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan), University of Nagoya (Japan), Duke Corporate Education (USA), and Headspring (a joint venture of the Financial Times and IE Business School), among others.

He is the co-author of Managing Organizations: Text, Readings and Cases (McGraw-Hill, 1990; 2nd edition 1999), one of the standard management texts of its era.

Robert has been both mentor and mentee throughout his career and has taught mentoring, coaching, and leadership to managers at every level. From Manager to Mentor distils that experience into a practical, honest, and occasionally irreverent guide for anyone making the transition from directing performance to developing people.

He lives in London.
