Lu, Lerong

Dr Lerong Lu is a Reader in Law (Associate Professor) at the King’s College London, specializing in International Financial Law and Regulation. He is the author of three books: Private Lending in China (Routledge, 2019), Global FinTech Revolution (Oxford University Press, 2024), and Towards Financial Superpower (Oxford University Press, 2025). He has also authored over 70 articles across academic journals, edited volumes, and reputable online platforms published by Oxford, Cambridge, Columbia, Duke, Tsinghua, and Hong Kong universities. Dr Lu’s expert commentary has appeared in major international media outlets, including the BBC, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and The Straits Times. He regularly advises governments, bar associations, central banks, financial regulators, and international organizations across Asia, Europe, and the US on corporate finance law reform and innovation policy. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
