K.R. Lowe has been a devoted fan of fantasy books since she first stayed up way too late as an eleven-year-old, reading The Lord of the Rings, and wondering if anyone had invented a bedtime for hobbits. She loves stories where heroes and heroines aren’t perfect—they stumble, they bumble, they occasionally set things on fire—but somehow, against all odds, still manage to save the world. And our hearts.

The Boy Who Sets the Earth on Fire is her debut novel, the first in a series following four delightfully flawed teenagers who discover they’re guardian angels in training, tasked with protecting humanity from some of its biggest threats.

When she isn’t crafting worlds or plotting angelic mischief, K.R. Lowe lives in Brisbane, Australia, with her patient partner and her spirited poodle (who believes she’s the one telling the story).
