Arthur Vallee, creator of Rainbow Rabbit, lived quite a life.
A Walt Disney animator turned Hollywood actor, professional songwriter, and successful automobile dealer for over 50 years, Arthur wore many hats across a remarkable career. But through every chapter, art was always with him. He never stopped drawing.
It was that quiet, lifelong passion that gave birth to Rainbow Rabbit. A story about a colorful rabbit in Lettuce Valley who feels different from everyone around him, and what happens when someone finally stops to notice. Arthur believed, with his whole heart, that this story could teach children something the world needed more of. Kindness. Belonging. The courage to be exactly who you are.
Arthur passed away in 2010 before seeing his dream of having Rainbow Rabbit read in classrooms all over the world. His passion has not been forgotten. The Rainbow Rabbit organization works every day to carry it forward, one child at a time.
Through Rainbow Rabbit, we learn that we must remain true to who we are, no matter what obstacles stand in our path.
