Alexander Thompson was born and raised in a small town in northwestern Alabama. He is the author of Dear Joseph, a memoir that delves into personal history, identity, and the experiences that shape who we become; Bless Their Hearts; and Send the Fire. He is also the author of the forthcoming Cedar Falls Murder Mystery Series, beginning with Book 1: Bless Their Hearts and Bury Their Secrets. His writing is warm yet unflinching — he balances vulnerability with clarity, inviting readers into deeply personal moments without losing sight of the larger truths they reveal. Rooted in the storytelling traditions of the rural South, his prose is conversational and grounded, carrying the quiet weight of lived experience.
