Frank J. Murphy

Frank Murphy is the author of A Cold Clear Day, the Athletic Biography of Buddy Edelen; The Silence of Great Distance, Women Running Long; and The Last Protest, Lee Evans in Mexico City. At the time of publication, Mr. Murphy was an attorney whose practice emphasized the representation of persons with disabilities. In his career, he was the Public Administrator of Jackson County, Missouri; the executive director of a bioethics center; the first executive director of a managed care company providing behavioral services to a Medicaid-eligible population, and an instructor in sociology at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and the coach for men's and women's cross-country teams at Rockhurst University. Murphy is also the author of two novels, The Book of Ezra and The South, It Might be Said.
