Ulrich Vogel

Dr. Ulrich Vogel is an expert in value-based leadership and has been at home in all areas of human resources consulting for more than 25 years. In 2009 he founded the international company profilingvalues and has since been developing values-based personnel diagnostics — from practice, for practice.

Born in Munich in 1967, he studied political science, economics and public law there and completed his doctorate with a thesis on “Stability Transfer through NATO: The Case of Poland.” His professional career began at the international management consultancy Mercuri Urval, where he was involved in global projects focused on the search and selection of specialists and executives, as well as suitability assessments in the context of management audits.

The instruments developed at profilingvalues build on the formal value science of Robert S. Hartman. To date, more than 1,000 values diagnosticians have been trained at the profilingvalues Academy, and the process has been applied in over 10,000 organisations. From 2009 to 2016, Vogel was actively engaged with the Robert S. Hartman Institute in Knoxville, Tennessee — initially as a member of the global board, later as founder and inaugural president of the European arm of the Institute.

For many years he has supported organisations in implementing value-based leadership. His vision: to make the world of work more human — and therefore more successful — and to unlock the infinite human potential of individuals and teams alike.

Uli Vogel is married, has five children and has been living in Spain for twelve years. In his spare time he is drawn to nature, to academic work on values, and — with great passion — to his piano.
