Kristin King

Kristin King has spent nearly three decades in OT and ICS security, on production floors, in consulting rooms, in regulatory advisory, and now as the founder of AnzenSage and host of the Bites & Bytes Podcast, both dedicated to a corner of cybersecurity the industry has long overlooked: food and agriculture.

Before she ever touched a firewall, she was waiting tables, pulling espresso shots, doing skincare, and supporting onboarding in HR. Her IT career started in retail, moved through healthcare and finance, until the 2009 crash sent her back to college. The degree was environmental management, which turned out to mean gorilla behavioral fieldwork, a zoo commissary, and a front-row seat to the operational systems she'd spend the next decade securing. Student loans pulled her back into tech. That path ran through food production floors and C-Suites, through international factories, GRC, cybersecurity consulting across consumer goods and pharma and executive leadership. Everywhere she went, same story: food and agriculture sector was critical infrastructure, but continually last in line for the cybersecurity conversation. Kristin created her podcast company and learned how to become an entrepreneur and CEO because the global food supply needed support when it came to cyber-physical strategy.

Kristin lives in wine country in Northern Virginia with her husband, Stuart King, and their cats, Percy and Athena. She is originally from New England, has strong feelings about fried scallops and shoestring onion rings, and is allergic to bananas.
