Mr Michael Slater

Michael Slater is the pen name of a London‑based writer who somehow managed to turn a twenty‑year‑old idea — scribbled down while bumbling his way across America with a backpack and questionable decision‑making skills — into a full‑blown thriller series.

Writing in the first person, he dives into the thoughts, impulses, and internal monologues of his characters, mostly because he’s always been fascinated by why people do what they do… and partly because he’s been overthinking everything since childhood.

By day, Michael works a perfectly normal job that pays the bills. By night, he writes purely for enjoyment, stubbornness, and the faint hope that someone out there might actually like what he’s created. This book is the first in a series he never expected to finish — let alone publish — but here we are.
