Frances Figart

Frances Figart is the editor of Smokies Life Journal and directs the Creative Team of the nonprofit Smokies Life that supports Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Smokies Life publishes books and other projects illuminating the park's diverse natural and cultural history. She worked as a magazine editor and marketing and communications professional in the travel industry. Since joining Smokies Life in 2017, Frances has authored three books for younger readers and helped create the Steve Kemp Writers Residency and Tremont Writers Conference.
