Chele Crawley

Chele Crawley is a teacher, a wife, a mother and a writer based in the midlands of Ireland. With a background in journalism and print media, Chele has a nose for a story and likes a good yarn.

Chele’s debut novel, Lady Dixon’s Niece, became an Amazon Ireland #1 bestseller within 24 hours of its release. Lady Dixon’s Niece is the first instalment in Of Social Standing, her romantic historical fiction series set during the Regency era.

Chele is a member of the Inklings writing group based in Mullingar and regularly has her short stories published in the local newspaper, the Westmeath Examiner. In July 2025, Chele Crawley was double longlisted for the Write By The Sea Literary Festival competition in both the memoir and short story categories. Chele's dystopian short story, Clean Cut, was recently published in the 2025 National Science Week publication, Experiment with Words.

Chele is on the organising committee for Mullingar Literary Festival as well as a 2026 contributor and interviewer.
