M.G. Phillips

M.G. Phillips doesn't have to guess what tension feels like—he’s lived it. His hard-boiled crime fiction is directly informed by his years as a private investigator and an emergency room security officer, where he dealt firsthand with raw human conflict and high-stress crisis management.

Beyond his standalone books, his short stories have been published across various genre magazines and anthologies, earning a place among modern crime and noir writers. That success is rooted in a lifelong devotion to the genre; as an active collector and scholar of vintage pulp paperbacks and mid-century comics, Phillips studies the raw artwork and visceral storytelling that made the original pulp era legendary.

He channeled this passion into founding Pulp Thrills Press, an independent home for modern noir, hard-boiled mystery, and punchy fiction.
