Robert Scholz

Robert Scholz is a licensed marriage and family therapist, clinical trainer, and consultant with over two decades of experience in crisis care, clinical supervision, and mental health systems. He holds licensure in multiple states and is based in Westlake Village, California.

Robert provides therapy with high-acuity clients, supervises clinicians using deliberate practice frameworks, teaches at Pepperdine University, and responds to disasters with the American Red Cross. As a consultant with DPREP Safety, he trains K–12 and higher education professionals in case management, suicide prevention, threat assessment, and men's mental health.

He has authored numerous publications and is lead author of Assessing Self-Directed Violence (APA Books, Essentials of Deliberate Practice Series), a practical guide for clinicians navigating one of the field's most consequential challenges.
