Andy Stauder

Andy Stauder, born in 1985, grew up in South Tyrol, Italy. Since childhood, he has been passionate about languages and fascinated by everything there is to know and learn in this world. His degrees include linguistics, translation studies and philosophy, whilst his university education also included courses in computer science and economics. In addition to several years of teaching and research at the University of Innsbruck, managing an incubator spin-off of the university, and co-founding the European cooperative ‘READ-COOP’, which operates and further develops the Transkribus software, his passion has always been actively working with languages, as well as reading, writing and translating stories. Indeed, his enthusiasm for Tolkien’s works was the main reason behind his decision to study linguistics. As an author, his current focus is on producing interlinear translations to facilitate the joyful learning of new languages. He himself speaks six languages and has, at some point in his life, at least dabbled in twelve or more.
