Where everyday moments become part of a growing faith

I've always believed that some of life's deepest lessons are hidden in ordinary moments.

A conversation over coffee.

A walk around the lake.

A campfire with family.

A difficult season.

A verse of Scripture that suddenly means something different because life has given it new context.

Those are the places where I most often discover God at work.

That's what I write about.

Not because I have all the answers.

But because I've learned that faith often grows one ordinary day at a time.

If my writing does anything, I hope it helps you notice God in the ordinary moments of your own life.

Whether I'm writing about grief, faith, family, or everyday life, my hope is always the same: to help readers discover that God is often closer than we realize and working in ways we may not immediately recognize.

My newest book, The Road Through Grief: Finding Your Way, is a memoir-in-verse drawn from the first year after the death of my husband, Rick. Rather than offering a formula for grief or telling people how they should grieve, I simply share one person's honest journey through loss, trusting that readers may recognize pieces of their own story along the way.

For adults, I wrote Rooted in Faith: Discovering What It Really Means to Know God and Grow with Him, along with its companion workbook, to help readers build a faith that is personal, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in God's Word.

For teens, I wrote Rooted in Faith: A Teen's Guide to Getting to Know God and Growing Real Faith, an approachable guide designed to help young people discover who God is and develop a faith of their own.

In addition to my books, I write daily devotionals through She Walks in Faith, where I share reflections inspired by everyday life and the quiet ways God continues to reveal Himself in ordinary moments.

I don't write to impress people.

I write because I love helping people notice things they might otherwise miss.

I've discovered that faith isn't something reserved for extraordinary moments.

It's woven into everyday life.

Sometimes all we have to do is slow down long enough to see it.

I live in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, where the changing seasons continually remind me that growth often happens quietly, one ordinary day at a time.
