Dale Loewen was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. A graduate of the University of Alberta’s School of Engineering, Dale has spent most of his career in the consulting engineering field, the majority of that time with Associated Engineering in Calgary, Alberta and Kelowna, British Columbia. Dale began managing projects in the early 1990s, and found that he had a passion for establishing and following effective project management principles. In 2000, he began training others in project management, and gained his Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2003. In the early 2020s, Dale helped lead the development of a new Project Management Competency Program at Associated Engineering. He continues to train, coach, and mentor people in the principles, processes, and tools of project management. Dale and his wife Kim live in Kelowna, British Columbia.
