Barbara Roux

Barbara Roux is a South African writer who believes that the most honest stories are the ones we tell before we have fully healed. She wrote The Dusty Room in the aftermath of losing her mother, her marriage, and the version of herself she thought she was building — and decided that the mess of it was worth putting on the page. She lives in Johannesburg and is still standing.
