Lemar O Archer

Lemar O. Archer is a Jamaican-born theatre artist, educator, director, and now author with over a decade of experience working with young people through the performing arts, he is passionate about using storytelling to educate, inspire, and preserve culture.

Lemar began his journey in Jamaica, where he trained at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts and later served as a Theatre Arts educator and Head of the Visual and Performing Arts Department. His work has always centered on youth development, creativity, and empowering students to find their voice.

His debut children’s book, Jabari and the Shady Shortcut, is inspired by Jamaican folklore and the lessons passed down through generations. Through his writing, Lemar aims to share Caribbean culture with young readers around the world while encouraging them to make wise choices, embrace their identity, and learn from the journey.
