Lee Austin

Lee Austin is a British Army veteran who spent 25 years serving in the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (REME).

Joining at just 16, he went on to experience the realities of military life—discipline, chaos, camaraderie, and conflict—both at home and on operations overseas.

His debut memoir, Twist to Open, is a candid account of that journey, told with honesty, humour, and the perspective of someone who lived it.
