I keep telling people I’m middle-aged, but if that were true, I’d live to be well over a hundred years old… So, I am a ‘mature’ woman (physically, if not mentally) with two amazing grown up children and quite possibly the best husband in the universe. I now live in the south of England, but I was born in Massachusetts in the U.S.A. I was lucky enough to win a scholarship to study in the UK during my Junior year of college – still one of the stand-out years of my life! It was here that I met my wonderful husband and after spending five years raising the stock value of BT and AT&T, we decided it was cheaper to get married than it was to pay our phone bills.
I had the best childhood anybody could ask for. I was incredibly lucky to have loving and creative parents who encouraged my brothers and me to open our minds and embrace the new and the different. After a childhood of building tree-forts and riding bicycles, I started writing as a teenager. Unfortunately, I never really completed anything – I’d get bored and move onto the next story. I never knew what I wanted to ‘be’ when I grew up…and I never really wanted to grow up either… Writing lets me be anybody I want to be for a little while. I have always read a lot…a variety of different genres and styles, and this is probably why I can’t seem to settle on writing in one genre. I enjoy reading a variety, so why shouldn’t I enjoy writing a variety too?
