Paul K W Dunt

Paul Dunt has spent most of his working life as a journalist. He began as a reporter on Exeter's Express and Echo before joining BBC Essex as a radio reporter and producer. From there he joined the BBC current affairs team in Norwich producing TV documentaries. He has also worked as a press officer for Essex Police and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, as well as launching his own magazine 'The Rayleigh Review'. 'TransAm' is his first book.

Paul lives in Hockley, Essex with his wife Kate. They have two children, Matt and Ellie, a grandchild, Harry and an Airedale terrier called Mabel. When he's not riding his bike or planning further adventures, Paul can be found playing his trombone with Rayleigh Brass, or breaking down in old cars he tells his wife are 'classics'.

He's currently writing his second book 'Southern Tier' which tells the story of his and his friend Terry's ride from St Augustine, Florida, to San Diego, California.
